Nicky Morris grew up in KZN where she studied teaching at Edgewood College of Education. She initially taught in London then returned to South Africa to study a theological degree at George Whitefield College. Nicky worked for 11 years as the children's minister at Christ Church Umhlanga before returning to the classroom in a private girls school in Durban. Nicky welcomes the challenge of applying educational and theological skills in her new role as the principal of iThemba School.
She says, ‘iThemba School provides an opportunity to give children a good start and to uplift people from the Masiphumelele community. I love that I have the space to teach and show the love of Jesus to these precious children.’
